A tale of exams and freedom

It's been a rough few days i must say. Wrote my last 2 finals last week on Thursday and Friday. Shit was haaaaard, but i think i did ok; i'll find out soon.
On the more interesting side of things, on Thursday night i had went to a sick gamer gathering of epicness. My and 3 of my good friends all gathered and set up for some a Minecraft adventure. We set up a brand new minecraft server world and set off on our adventure.
Our goal:  GO WEST!
We aimed to see how far we could get going west. We also played by some other customs rules: no building chests (meaning we could only keep what we could carry) and only travel during the day, so at sunset we would build a house and mine through its floor in search of caverns and search for precious supplies.
We played for a good many hours in that manner, until we had an abundance of iron and coal and other such necessities. So we came up with a second goal. Keep traveling during the day, but at night, search for diamond specifically so we could make/mine some obsidian. Then, we would make a portal and keep traveling west once in the Nether. This new goal kept us busy for another good many hours, until we had gathered all we needed and were ready to build the portal. It was at this point however that i remembered something a tad inconvenient, Portals to the Nether don't work yet in server worlds for Minecraft, only single player. I informed my friends of this, and we all started swearing and having a jolly old rage quit.
Then they all played L4D 2 while i studied for my next day final.

After writing my final i had plans to go see SuckerPunch with another friend, and i must say, that movie was confusing as shit. It was super pretty and super entertaining, but the whole thing made little sense (at least to me and my friend lol) still a fun watch that i do recommend you go see. After the movie we had tix to go see a show at a local club. The music was good, the show was good, and the crowd surfers were out of CONTROL. Anyone who has been to a show knows that crowd surfers happen, weather they are supposed to or not. They were in fact allowed at this show, however, i don't know if the number of them that occurred were normal. I would say there was one every 5 minutes, maybe more. Security was really amazing though, standing at the front behind a grate so they could grab people as they were coming and help them down up front so they could re-merge with the crowd. Their were quite a few close calls though with the crowd surfers during this show, people getting flipped around, kicking people in the face (i got kicked but nothing serious), and the most common occurrence, us people at the front getting generally crushed by the surfers as they made their way up. See, once they get to the front, there are less people to keep them up, so we needed to really give'r to pass them onto security. I wondered how many people get seriously hurt from having crowd surfers landing on them at the front.

Anyway.

That's been my past few days, lots of fun, lot's of energy. So now i shall continue on with my relaxing Saturday of healing and recovery~
